Our organizations hold a lot of shared space together; here is why we think this coalition is different and needed at this time:
Minnesota doesn’t have a formalized coalition of CBO partners who are focused on college attainment and success
Our organizations are serving similar populations of students (sometimes the same students)
We want to explore a more structured way of holding ourselves accountable and using our collective influence on larger systems
There are national narratives around postsecondary access and success that don’t always have our student populations in mind
Identify shared best practices (e.g. how direct service staff are trained on FAFSA)
Foster a vibrant CBO network, we have a lot of professional crossover!

Wallin
Wallin Education Partners is dedicated to empowering nearly 1,700 Minnesota high school graduates to succeed across more than 80 colleges through a comprehensive support system that includes scholarships, personalized advising, and career development, all designed to ensure our scholars can afford their education and transition into rewarding careers.
Wallin scholars are high-achieving students from diverse backgrounds with financial need, many of whom are first-generation. 87% of our scholars graduate from college, and over 95% are employed or enrolled in graduate school after college.

Since 2000, College Possible’s college access and success programs have helped empower nearly 100,000 students on their path to a college degree.
College Possible was founded by a first-generation college graduate who recognized first-hand the value a college degree can play. Like our founder, each of our valued team members bring a deep commitment to help every student succeed.
Today, College Possible is among the largest college access and success organizations in the U.S. We’ve grown from a single regional office in St. Paul, MN to seven sites nationwide, and a growing suite of solutions designed to empower students — and those who serve them — at every stage of the college journey.
